What data of yours I handle, why I need it and what you can do about it at any time.
This website has no forms and no accounts: there is nowhere for you to leave me your data. The little that is handled is what any visit to a page leaves behind, plus whatever you tell me if you decide to write. There is no profiling, no data is sold to anyone, and no automated decisions are made about you.

What is handled and what for
| Data | Where it comes from | What for |
|---|---|---|
| IP address, browser and page requested | The server notes them every time a page is opened, like any web server | Keeping the site running, and being able to investigate a fault or an attack |
| IP address | Google receives it when serving the typefaces this site is set in | Delivering the typeface to your browser |
| Browsing data | The analytics cookies, and only if you accept them | Knowing how many people visit the site and which pages they read |
| Whatever you write to me | Your message, if you write by email or on LinkedIn | Reading it and replying to you |
On what legal basis
- Your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR) for the analytics cookies: you give it by pressing "Accept" in the notice, and you can withdraw it whenever you want from the cookie policy.
- My legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f) in the site working and staying safe, which is what the server logs are for.
- Your consent again, if you decide to write to me: replying to you is the purpose you give me your data for.
How long I keep it
I keep the messages you write for as long as the conversation lasts and, afterwards, for as long as needed to deal with a possible claim. Server logs are kept for a maximum of twelve months. The analytics cookies expire on their own within the period shown in the cookie policy.
Who else sees it
I do not pass your data on to anyone. There are companies that provide me with services and, in doing so, may access it as data processors:
- The hosting and email provider, which stores the server logs and the messages.
- Google, for two things: the typefaces loaded from its servers whenever a page opens, and analytics, which is only switched on if you accept it.
The typefaces deserve a line of their own: when the page opens, your browser requests them from Google's servers, and that discloses your IP address to Google even if you never accept any cookie.
Transfers outside the European Union
Google services may process data outside the European Economic Area. Google states that it relies on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can read the details in Google's privacy policy.
Your rights
You can exercise the rights the GDPR gives you at any time, free of charge. Just write to the email address above telling me what you want:
- Access: to know what data of yours I hold.
- Rectification: to correct anything that is wrong.
- Erasure: to have it deleted.
- Objection and restriction: to stop me handling it, or to have it kept only for claims.
- Portability: to take it away in a machine-readable format.
- Withdrawing the consent you gave, without affecting what was done before.
If you believe I have not dealt with your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS and keeps no database of visitor information. No system is infallible, but these are the reasonable measures for a website of this size.
Children
This website is not aimed at children under fourteen and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If what the website does with data changes, this text will change too, and so will the review date shown at the bottom.
